The visa requirements for Americans vary depending on the country of destination, the duration and purpose of the intended stay, and the nationality of the traveler.

Depending on the destination, it may be necessary for travelers from Oceania to obtain either an online travel visa authorization, a visa on arrival, or an an embassy visa to enter a foreign territory. A visa for certain countries may not be required or may be unavailable from Oceania.

Most destinations have seperate visa requirements for travelers from different countries in Asia. However, some have a common visa policy for travelers from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Depending on the destination, a visa from Asia may not be required or may be unavailable. Other countries may require Asian travelers to obtain either a visa on arrival, an online travel visa authorization or an an embassy visa to enter the territory.

The visa requirements for your nationality will vary depending on the country or territory you plan to visit, as most territories have their own individual visa policies with different requirements for different foreign citizens.

It may not be necessary to obtain a travel document to visit your country of destination, as many countries have a passport nationality list of visa-exempt citizens who they permit to enter visa-free for short periods of time.
