Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens
Visa requirements for Pakistani citizens are administrative entry restrictions that the governments of other countries place on visitors from Pakistan.
The visa requirements for nationals of Pakistan may differ depending on the country of destination, the aim of the visit and the expected period of stay.
As travelers from Pakistan are currently granted visa exemption or access with a visa on arrival to roughly 25 countries worldwide, the Pakistani passport is currently ranked 106th in terms of travel freedom according to the Henley Passport Index.
Visa-exempt countries usually allow Pakistani citizens to enter their borders for purposes of tourism, transit, or business, for a short visa-free stay between 1 and 3 months depending on the destination.
To enter these countries, it is usually only necessary for travelers to present a valid Pakistani passport. However, some visa-exempt territories also require citizens of Pakistan to obtain an approved electronic travel authorization (ETA) before departure.
Visa-required countries require Pakistani passport holders to have an approved visa no matter the travel purpose or length of intended stay, This may be either a visa on arrival, an or an embassy visa, or an electronic visa through a simple online application form.
Pakistani citizens are also required to obtain an embassy visa to travel to a visa-exempt country for purposes not permitted visa-free or for longer periods of stay.
