Cape Verde EASE Information

EASE for Cabo Verde is an electronic travel authorization that air passengers arriving in the island nation must register for online, regardless of nationality and whether or not they need a visa for Cape Verde.

The EASE for Cape Verde was implemented in order to pre-screen all passengers arriving in the country by air for any health or security risks. It is intended to strengthen the island nation’s borders and expedite entry at border control.

Once approved, an EASE for Cape Verde is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport and is valid for a single entry to the country.

To register for this electronic travel authorization, travelers are required to complete the online Cape Verde EASE application. This simple form can be filled out in a matter of minutes with basic personal, passport, and travel information.

When submitting the form, travelers also have the option to pay the mandatory Airport Security Tax for Cape Verde (TSA) online. Paying this compulsory tax online removes the need to wait in long immigration lines to complete the payment on arrival, and removes the need to pay an extra processing fee at the border.

Please note that all foreign citizens who are not visa-exempt will also need a Cape Verde visa in addition to an approved EASE. It will either be necessary to Cape Verde visa on arrival or submit a visa application at an embassy or consulate of Cabo Verde.
