Egypt e-Visa Requirements for Citizens of New Zealand

In order for New Zealand citizens to apply for the Egypt e-Visa, they must first meet all of the requirements, in accordance with Egypt’s visa policy. These include having the following items:

• A valid New Zealand passport (a scanned copy of the traveler’s biometric page must be uploaded)
• A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant that was taken less than 6 months ago
• A form of payment, such as a debit card or credit card, in order to pay the Egypt e-Visa processing fee
• An email address that the traveler checks regularly, to which the approved Egypt e-Visa will be sent
• Travel itinerary while in Egypt, including intended date of entry and departure, where the visitor from New Zealand plans to stay, etc.

Applicants may be asked to provide proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay in Egypt.

When filling out the online application form, we recommend that applicants keep their New Zealand passport close in order to make it easier to fill out the application questions. The traveler’s New Zealand passport must be:

• Valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry in Egypt.
• Used to both apply for the e-Visa and to enter Egypt. This is because the Egyptian e-Visa is electronically linked to that specific passport.

The process to obtain an Egyptian electronic visa for New Zealand citizens is quick and simple. The entire process takes about 15 minutes and travelers will need to fill out the application form with their information, answer a few yes/no questions, and pay the processing fee.

The application will ask travelers about their personal details, such as:

• First and last name
• Gender
• Date and place of birth

It is also necessary to enter their passport information, including:

• Passport number
• Issue and expiration date
• Nationality

Finally, New Zealanders must enter their contact details, including:

• Residential address
• Telephone number
• Email address

The second part of the application will ask travelers about their employment information, marital status, and travel itinerary.

After the application is complete, we recommend that travelers go through the form and double-check to make sure that all of the information is accurate and spelled correctly. Once everything looks good, applicants will then need to pay the processing fee with a valid credit or debit card in order to submit the application.
