SG Arrival Card Information
All foreign nationals traveling to Singapore need the Singapore Electronic Arrival Card, or SG Arrival Card to enter the island state.
The Arrival Card was introduced to replace the previous paper-based Disembarkation/Embarkation Card (D/E Card) system. The new, streamlined system was implemented to allow travelers to complete their arrival card in advance of their trip to avoid long waits at border control.
It’s not a type of visa — it’s required by all international visas, whether you need a visa or not.
The SG Arrival Card application is 100% online. You’ll be asked to give some personal details and information about your travel plans. There form also contains a health declaration.
The Singapore Arrival Card is electronically linked to your passport, allowing quick processing through border control. There’s no need to complete any other forms once you arrive in Singapore. You’re recommended to keep a copy of your SG Arrival Card for Singapore on your phone.

FAQs About the Arrival Card
Check the Singaporean Visa Policy
Singapore’s visa requirements for each traveler depend on your nationality, the amount of time you’ll stay in the country, and the purpose of your visit.
The law establishes that all travelers visiting Singapore, even those who have visa exemption, need the Singapore Electronic Arrival Card, to gain entry to the island state.
All visitors to Singapore must complete this online registration with their personal and passport details, travel plans for Singapore, and a health declaration. Once approved the SG Card is automatically linked to the traveler’s passport.
The SG Arrival Card is not a visa. Visa-required citizens for Singapore need both an approved SG Arrival registration and a visa to travel to the country.
Singaporean visa regulation states that some foreign nationals need to apply for either an electronic visa or an embassy visa before they can visit Singapore.

If you need a visa to travel to Singapore, there are two ways to get your travel permit — get an embassy visa in person, or submit an online application for a Singapore eVisa.
A Singapore online visa may be submitted through a local Singaporean contact, a Singaporean consulate or one of their authorized visa agents outside Singapore.
You’re advised to make your application at least 30 days before travel, and to bring a printed copy of the eVisa with them to present upon arrival at border control.
If you’re not eligible to make an online application with the help of a sponsor in Singapore, you must request your visa through an embassy or consulate.

Only citizens of some countries need a visa for Singapore. Check the list that appears earlier on this page to see if your nationality is visa-exempt for short visits.
If eligible, you’ll be able to travel to Singapore for tourism from 30 up to 90 days visa-free, with an approved SG Arrival Card.
However, for periods of longer stay, or for purposes other than tourism, you must apply for the right type of visa for Singapore. If you do not need a visa for travel to Singapore, this also applies if you’re visiting only in transit.
Countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Georgia, India, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and territories which fall under Chinese administration, are exempt from requiring a transit visa for stopovers of up to 96 hours.
A transit visa is not required if the passenger does not leave the airport transit area or clear immigration in Singapore during their stopover.
