Visa-free entry to Colombia is permitted for stays of up to 90 days.

Travelers from visa-exempt countries may visit the country for tourism and leisure without applying for a permit, but must obtain the relevant visa to live and/work in Colombia.

Upon arrival at the Colombian border, visitors with visa exemption will have their passport stamped with a PIP-5 Entry Permit by an immigration control officer. With this stamp, it is permitted to stay up to 90 days.

It may be possible for a traveler to extend this stay once for a further 90 days without leaving Colombia. However, the maximum length of time a traveler can stay in Colombia without a visa is 180 days within one (1) calendar year.

Individuals who plan to stay for longer must apply for the relevant visa and/or permits.
