Once their eVisa Kenya application has been approved, the German traveler will receive a PDF of their approved Kenyan eVisa sent via email.
Before traveling from Germany to Kenya, it is important to print a physical copy of the eVisa Kenya travel document and keep it with the passport to be used for travel.
Other necessary items of documentation that German citizens visiting Kenya should carry include:
- Proof of enough funds to cover the whole stay in Kenya
- Proof of travel out of Kenya, either back to Germany or onwards to a third country (i.e., flight bookings, train tickets etc.)
- Proof of lodgings in Kenya (i.e., hostel bookings, hotel reservations, or other accommodation)
This documentation may be requested by Kenyan border authorities alongside the copy of the German traveler’s eVisa when the holder arrives in the country.
It is important to travel with the same German passport registered in the application. The eVisa is only valid if presented along with this passport.
If the registered passport is lost, stolen, damaged, or replaced for any other reason, the holder must reapply for the eVisa with their new passport.
