Visa Policy for Gabon
The visa policy of Gabon outlines the restrictions which determine who may enter the Central African country without a visa and who needs a visa for Gabon.
Gabonese visa policy currently states that there are under 5 countries whose citizens do not need a visa for Gabon, all nationals of other African states. These travelers are able to enter Gabon visa-free for stays between 30 and 90 days depending on their nationality by presenting a valid passport at Gabonese border controls.
Up to 150 nationalities from across the globe are able to apply for a Gabon electronic visa through a simple online application. The form only takes minutes to complete with basic personal, passport, and travel information.
Once approved, the e-Visa for Gabon is sent to the traveler by email, removing the need to visit an embassy or consulate to obtain a visa in person or endure long waits to complete a visa on arrival application at the border.
An approved Gabon e-Visa allows the holder to visit the country for tourism, business, or transit purposes. It may be granted for either a single entry or multiple entries, and for a period of validity between 1 to 6 months depending on the traveler’s needs.
To visit Gabon for other purposes or longer periods of stay, it is necessary to obtain a visa from a Gabonese diplomatic government office in advance. Additionally, over 45 nationalities must have an approved Gabon visa from an embassy no matter their travel purpose or intended period of stay.
At present, there are no Gabon visa bans in place for any foreign citizens.
