Travelers from China are required to have a Tanzania electronic visa (eVisa) to visit the country. The Tanzania eVisa for Chinese citizens is conveniently available online.

The online Tanzanian eVisa was launched in 2018 to make it quicker and easier for  foreign visitors, including Chinese passport holders, to get the required travel permit.

Unlike traditional visas, there is no need to waste time going all the way to a Tanzanian diplomatic mission to deal with paperwork. With the eVisa, Chinese nationals simply need a device connected to the internet.

Visitors from China will then receive their eVisa to enter Tanzania quickly, within a matter of days.

Applicants must simply meet a few basic Tanzania eVisa requirements for Chinese citizens.

The Tanzania eVisa is perfect for Chinese passport holders visiting Tanzania and Zanzibar for short stays for tourism.

Chinese tourists are allowed a single entry into the country and can stay for 30 consecutive days. They can use it both for mainland Tanzania and the Zanzibar islands. Once the eVisa is issued, the holder has 90 days to use it to enter the country.
