US nationals that have submitted a completed online application for a Tanzania eVisa can expect to receive updates on the status of their application via email.
It can take up to 6 business days for an application to be thoroughly processed. Applicants may receive their eVisa even sooner.
Travelers from the United States of America who have been approved for the Tanzanian eVisa receive their approved application notification letter and visa grant notice securely via email.

They will also be required to complete and submit a Tanzania Entry Arrival declaration form upon arrival at the Tanzanian border.
The Tanzania eVisa allows travelers from the US to enter Tanzania only through select ports of entry:

- Namanga Border Crossing
- Tunduma Border Crossing
Visitors from the US can also arrive in Tanzania and Zanzibar by sea.
