India e-Visa System Resumes for UK Nationals and Others

| Post by

Indian officials have announced that the electronic visa system will be reinstated for UK citizens, and all other nationalities that have been restricted.

The announcement was made on December 5, 2022. Vikram K Doraiswami, India’s High Commissioner, confirmed the decision by saying:

“We are rolling out e-visas once again and this service will be available to you forthwith. We are looking forward to a good winter season.”

The India e-Visa was limited during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, in an effort to limit the number of foreign tourists entering the country.

Now that the situation is more controlled, India is taking action to revive its tourism sector by offering its online visa service once again.
