The Mongolia eVisa is an upcoming digital visa that will permit foreign nationals to visit the country.

This electronic visa for Mongolia will be obtainable by applying online.

Inspired by the various online travel permits now available for other countries, authorities in Ulaanbaatar made the decision to implement an electronic visa system for Mongolia.

The new Mongolian eVisa platform is planned for launch in summer 2021.

Few details about the upcoming eVisa for Mongolia have been released.

It is expected that the new system will allow eligible travelers to obtain a Mongolia tourist visa online and it is likely that the eVisa may also permit business trips.

The conditions of the Mongolia online visa have not yet been announced.

However, they are expected to be similar to those of the current Mongolia visa on arrival, which permits a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days.

Mongolia Tourist Visa Requirements

In order to apply for a Mongolia visa online, travelers must meet certain requirements.

It is expected that only certain nationalities will be able to use the online system to complete their Mongolia visa application form.

They must therefore have a passport issued by an eligible country.

The following items will also be required to complete the Mongolia eVisa application:

  • Current email address to receive the eVisa
  • Method of payment (credit or debit card)

Other supporting documents may be required, as with current Mongolian visas.
