Before applying for the FMM, it is a good idea to read through the visa requirements for Indian citizens.
To obtain the Mexican Tourist Card for Indian nationals, the applicant must have the following:
- Approved Mexican visa for Indians
- Passport issued by the Republic of India, valid for 6 months or more on the arrival date
- Email address to register the FMM petition
- Bank card to pay the Forma Migratoria Múltiple processing fee
Citizens of India must have a valid visa in addition to their FMM.
Indian nationals should check their passport will be valid for 180 days or more from when they reach Mexico. If this condition is not met, they must submit their passport for renewal with their local authorities at the earliest possibility before beginning their Forma Migratoria Múltiple form.
Indians with dual nationality should remember the Forma Migratoria Múltiple is linked to the passport they will use when entering the country. This means they must arrive in Mexico with the same passport they used to complete the FMM application.
All communications regarding the Mexican Tourist Card application will be sent by email. Indian petitioners are advised to use an account they frequently access.
Lastly, it is best to confirm their bank cards have been previously activated for online payments.
