A Jordan Pass for Indians allows a single entry to most tourist sites on the list. However, it permits either 1, 2, or 3 entries to the historic carved city of Petra on consecutive days if the holder visits the sacred site between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. If an Indian visitor wishes to visit Petra by night, they need to pay an extra fee.

Additionally, holders of a Jordan Pass are able to download a number of free tourist brochures detailing recommended itineraries and travel tips for visiting the country’s attractions.

In order to submit an online Jordan Pass application from India, it is necessary to have:

• An Indian passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the period of intended stay in Jordan, continuing 2 blank pages
• A valid credit or debit card authorized for online payments, to pay the application fee
• A current email address to receive the approved Jordan Pass for Indian citizens.

Please note that it is first necessary to apply for a Jordan Pass before submitting a Jordan visa application from India. The visa fees will not be waived if you do not provide a  QR code from an approved Jordan Pass application.

You can apply for a Jordan Pass from India online in just a few minutes by filling out a simple electronic form. There is no need to supply any supporting documents.

Once you have submitted the form and paid the Jordan Pass fee, the application is usually quickly processed, within 1-2 business days. However, processing may take longer at times when there is a high volume of applications.

Therefore, you should aim to submit your form at least 7 business days before your intended date of arrival. If you plan to obtain a visa from an embassy of Jordan in India rather than on arrival, you should begin the Jordan Pass application process at least a few weeks before your planned arrival date to allow enough time for the embassy visa to be approved.

Once you receive your approved Jordan Pass for Indian citizens in your email inbox, you should print a copy to carry with you when traveling to the country, as machines at some tourist sites may not be able to scan the QR code linked to the pass on a mobile device. This QR code must be presented at border control to waive the visa on arrival fees and at attractions to gain free entry.
