As Luxembourg is part of the EU and has signed the Schengen Agreement, it shares a common visa policy with all countries in the Schengen zone. Citizens of over 60 countries are currently able to travel to Luxembourg and the Schengen Area without a visa for a stay of up to 90 days.
However, from 2024 it will be mandatory for these same citizens to apply for an ETIAS Europe for Luxembourg to travel to Schengen countries for short stays. The Luxembourg Europe visa waiver is a multiple entry travel authorization that permits a 90-day stay with each entry to the Schengen Zone.

Those not eligible to apply for the Luxembourg ETIAS, or who wish to travel to the country for purposes such as to work or study, are required to apply for a Luxembourg Schengen visa.
