Angola introduced an electronic visa system, or e-Visa, in March 2018. Foreign nationals from certain countries can apply for this Angola visa online to obtain authorization to visit the southern African country.
The e-Visa permits entry to the Republic of Angola for the purposes of tourism, leisure, or business.
An online visa can be used for just one visit or for multiple entries to Angola.
Holders of an Angola e-Visa can stay in the country for up to 30 days.
The e-Visa for Angola can be used to enter the country any time within 60 days of the date of issue, after which it expires.
Travelers must complete an online application form, providing basic personal data, passport information, and contact details.
Once the Angola visa online application is submitted, the approved e-Visa is sent to the email address that the applicant provided within the next few business days.
Angolan e-Visas are issued by the country’s Migration and Foreigners Service, abbreviated as SME, the government body responsible for visas.
The e-Visa does not permit foreign nationals to live or work in Angola, including any paid activity.
In order to obtain permission to relocate and/or do paid work in the country, foreign nationals should contact their nearest Angola embassy or consulate.
